Alabama entered the legal cannabis market and joined 35 sister states becoming the 36th state to legalize medical marijuana with the passage of Senate Bill 46 known as The Darren Wesley “Ato” Hall Compassion Act. The aim and stated purpose of the legislation are to create a wholly intrastate apparatus for the production and distribution of medical cannabis products to treat and alleviate a shortlist of specified conditions.
